90 YEARS OF BENDICKS!

Bendicks was founded by Mr. Oscar Benson and Colonel ‘Bertie’ Dickson in 1930 and it was their purpose to deliver consumers with the finest quality of chocolate. And for the past 90 years, Bendicks has continued to do this, building an enviable reputation for quality and prestige.

90 years ago, Bendicks started as a very small confectionery business at 184 Church Street in Kensington, London.

The centres of each confection were handmade in the basement, before being taken up to the first floor to be hand-dipped in chocolate, set and then boxed.

In those days there was no printed packaging, the chocolates were packed into hand-painted boxes, tins and wooden barrels.

The business flourished with further shops being opened and Bendicks developed a fine reputation amongst the rich and discerning. Thanks to Bendicks’ strong heritage of inventiveness, diligence and high-quality standards, today Bendicks continues to excel; providing consumers with the highest quality after-dinner mints.

Bendicks’ commenced celebrations of this impressive milestone in February, with a 90th Birthday party at Berry Bros. & Rudd, London to recognise the success of the brand, and the dedicated team working hard to deliver our delicious products.
